Jackson Falls Studies

These are two studies I began during my last two days in Jackson, NH during the Hudson River Fellowship. Though I did not have time to complete them, I was very grateful to have learned so much at the end of three weeks of intensive work, and to "put it in play" at with these slightly larger and plein air paintings:

This past summer, I had the great privilege of participating in the 2013 Hudson River Fellowship, sponsored by Grand Central Academy of Art. This is the first drawing I did, upon arriving at the fellowship in Jackson Falls, NH. I am very happy to say the drawing was sold to a lovely couple who live nearby during a group exhibit in Jackson:
